6th March, 2007

This is narrative of Neha's b'day party on the 6th of March 2007.

Hello,

Welcome to the Twenty Third Indian edition of 6th March 2007(hereinafter refered to as 6M), the exclusive Neha Thakur birthday party event. This edition of 6M was celebrated in the southern Indian city of Bangalore amidst busy schedules and chaotic traffic with four people, in Tushant Arora's 2nd Floor house. Area: ST Bed.
Statutory Warning: This area is extremely dangerous even for geographically well versed people. So better think 2 million times before stepping in!!!

Among the elite guests present were Neha Thakur - the birthday girl from the coal mines of Jharkhand, Tushant Arora - the guy from the picturesque town of Mandi, HP in whose house the b'day was celebrated, Anitha Botta - the queen of the seven hills of Tirupati who is getting married shortly, Priya Sundararajan - the girl from Konganadu, I mean Tamilnadu who's settled in the beeeaaautiful city of Bangalore, whose presence was felt even though she wasnt present physically, Niren Nagesh - the multi-lingual guy from Konankunte who's enyaaaaing in far-away London and The Netherlands, watching beauties from close quarters and almost aaaahhhhing, Chethan - one of the most sought after guy-babes in Delhi and Siddharth - the writer of this email. Phew! That was quite a big list of high profile people, from queens to guy-babes to Siddharths!

Neha didnt want me to buy a cake to celebrate her birthday coz she had already cut one on the eve of 6M with her room-mates. A brainwave struck me. Why dont we take the birthday gal to a nice restaurant and have a good time there? Bad idea, I guessed. What with people from all parts of the city having to travel. A second brainwave struck me! Let the birthday gal cut a water-melon instead of a cake!!! So there it was, a new idea was born and some venture capitalists expressing confidence in my idea gave me a further high. Anitha and me bought a nice, ripened 6 Kg water melon and off we went to Tushant's place. Neha was waiting there jumping around and extremely excited. The first floor residents would have had interesting times as long as Neha was around. In the meanwhile, Tushant had bought some Ruffles Lays and some nice guava juice to go along with the melon.

The party started!!! Amidst singing of "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you dear Nega...", Nehaga cut the melon into 2 big halves which resembled a loooot of familiar things - this is exclusively for the guys to comprehend. Ignorance is bliss. So girls, please ignore the previous line. Neha really struglled to cut it into 2 halves. Some effort later, it was cut into smaller pieces. With some background score playing on the TV, we all had a good time eating the water melon. We managed to eat half the melon. Quite an achievement I should say! Tushant's roomies would probably have eaten the other half. We also took some snaps from Neha's phone camera. Tushant did a good job at that.

Dinner. We were then debating whether or not to go for dinner. The queen had to get back to work for some really urgent work that had cropped up. She went. And she came back too! I accompanied her to work and both of us went back to Tushant's house. Yo China! it was, a chinese restaurant in Koramangala for dinner. Thakur and Arora had chicken lollipops and chicken dumplings. Thakur especially liked the lollipops. Anitha, very surprisingly, had turned vegetarian for a day! Unbelieveable stuff, I should say. I dont know if it was a co-incidence but there was also a huge earthquake in Indonesia around that time. Anitha and me had dry paneer chilli and veg chopsuey. Ghas-poos??? Whatever!

It was almost 11 in the night and we decided to retire for the day. I literally dropped everyone home and then went home myself. It was a good, interesting day, atleast for me! I hope it was the same for the others too. Thats it guys and gals, have fun!

Happy Birthday Neha!!!
