What takes US presidents to Hyderabad?

The reason US Presidents visiting Hyderabad is very simple.
Back in 2000 when Chandrababu Naidu(TDP) was AP CM, the Vajpayee-headed NDA govt was in power at the center, of which the TDP was a key ally. SM Krishna headed a Congress govt in Karnataka from 1999 to 2004.

Now, in 2006, Dr YSR Reddy(Congress) is the AP CM and the Congress-headed UPA govt is in power at the center. HD Kumaraswamy of the JD(S) now heads a JD(S)-BJP coalition govt in Karnataka. He is the person mainly responsible for overthrowing the previous Congress-JD(S) combine.

To conclude, I strongly feel the choice of the city the US President visits is, to say the least, politically motivated.
